Discover a world reimagined through the captivating exhibition - ReMapping New Worlds with Everyday Objects. The transformative process of “re-mapping” unveils an entire series of mesmerising maps crafted from ordinary items from around the world.

Travel Things Museum, an arts and culture organisation based in London, is devoted to celebrating the marvels of global travel, discovery, interaction, and exchange. Our mission is to curate and showcase exhibits that highlight the fascinating "items" encountered during our journeys.

This year's exhibition presents "ReMapping New Worlds with Everyday Objects," revealing an array of mesmerizing maps crafted from ordinary items. The maps include:
— Design sense of humor
— Fauna from around the world
— The world of utensils
— Plant-based mind maps
— Mapping human races
— The art of weaving around the world
...and more.

Through the transformative process of re-mapping, these objects have gained new life, resulting in visually stunning representations that transcend the ordinary. Engage with these maps to let your imagination soar as you explore intricate details and unexpected connections. Let your mind wander as you uncover layers of meaning.

We are also proud to present the Kimsa Project: "The OMERE’ Lampshades of NAWANE Collection." This extraordinary showcase features the craftsmanship of the Waorani people, an indigenous community native to Ecuador's Amazon rainforest. Witness live weaving performances for the first time outside of Ecuador.
